Free Application For Federal Student Aid

The 2021-22 FAFSA Application is available for students to complete who wish to enroll in spring '22 or summer '22 classes.

The 2022-2023 FAFSA is also available for students to complete at this time too.

In order to be considered for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at www.fafsa.ed.gov.   Charter Oak's six-digit federal school code is 032343.

 Information about the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT):

 Tax return information transferred from the IRS into fafsa.gov now has stronger security and privacy protections.

  • As a result, tax information transferred from the IRS will not be visible to the applicant and will not display on the IRS DRT web page, FAFSA form, or on the Student Aid Report.
  • Instead, students will see "Transferred from the IRS" in the appropriate fields of on fafsa.gov, the IRS DRT web page, and on their Student Aid Report.   See below for how transferred information will be displayed:
