Request official transcripts from each college/university attended, regardless of the number of courses completed. Submit directly to Charter Oak State College Graduate Admissions.

The application fee is $50.00 and is non-refundable.

Once your admissions file is complete, it will be forwarded to the Program Director for review. You will be notified of the admissions decision via email.

Confirm your decision to enroll in the college by paying the non-refundable $150 deposit. The deposit will be applicable to tuition/fees.

All Applicants to the Master's degree programs must meet the following requirements and submit requested documents:

  • *A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or international institution equivalent to a U.S. regionally accredited institution, with a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended.
  • An Essay (approximately 500 words) describing your specific career goals and objectives, prior experience relevant to the decision to pursue an advanced degree and other information that may be useful to the admissions committee.

*Students with GPA’s between 2.7 and 3.0 may apply. If accepted, grades of B or better must be achieved in the first two courses to continue the program.

Current Military and Spouses

Active duty military and spouses benefit from in-state tuition and benefits. The Military Eligibility form is available for download on the application and will be required for any tuition/fees benefits. 

Connecticut Veterans

You may qualify for discounted tuition.  Connecticut veterans will be asked to  submit a DD214 (Member 4 Form) during the application process. You may upload this document when completing the application or submit via fax, email or mail.

International Students
Applicants who have earned a non-US bachelor’s degree from an institution where English is not the language of instruction must have received a satisfactory score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language. A satisfactory score is 79 on the iBT. TOEFL scores will be obtained directly from ETS by Charter Oak State College.

Credentials from non-U.S. colleges must be evaluated by a recognized agency prior to review by Charter Oak. The College recognizes any NACES approved member, including the following agencies: Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) and World Education Services (WES).

In addition applicants residing outside of the United States are required to verify their identity by completing and having notarized the Identity Verification form.  The original form must be sent to Admissions at Charter Oak State College.
