Some students confuse financial aid disbursements and refunds and it is an easy mistake to make!
A financial aid disbursement is when your federal aid is sent to the college and applied to your account. Before anything else happens, the Bursar has to review that aid to make sure everything is correct.
A refund from the Bursar’s only happens after that review is complete and your aid has been applied to your charges. If there’s money left over after your balance is covered, that’s when a refund is issued to you. Students looking for their refund should view their "Activity Details" via the My Account Balance link on this page.
