Timecard Entry

The Timecard Entry feature is accessible from any web-enabled device and allows you to:·       ·       ·       ·      ·       

  • Enter your hours and/or clock in and clock out

  • View additional pay periods

  • Finalize your timecard

  • Select your regular days off

  • Switch how you view your timecard

Various settings established in Human Resources and the Timecard Approval feature determine several Timecard Approval feature capabilities. For more information, see the Human Resources module and Timecard Approval feature online help.

Timecard View and Regular Days Off

You can customize the Timecard Entry feature to determine the following:

  • How you view your timecard (i.e., as a calendar or grid list)·

  • Your regular days off

Hours Worked Options

How you enter your hours depends upon how your timecard approver has set up your timecard. Timecards can be entered:

  • Hourly meaning you enter the time you start your shift and the time you end your shift. Depending upon how your timecard is setup, you may also be required to clock in and clock out.

  • Daily Total meaning you enter the total number of hours you worked for the shift on a select day.

  • Period Summary meaning you enter the total number of hours you worked for the entire period.

    Notice

    If your pay period lasted seven days and you are a full-time employee, you might enter 45 hours for the pay period.

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature.

  3. From the calendar, select day for which you want enter hours or from the list, locate the day for which you want to enter hours.

  4. In the Clock In columns, enter the time you clocked into your shift and select AM or PM from drop-down options.

  5. In the Clock Out columns, enter the time you clocked out of your shift and select AM or PM from the drop-down options.

  6. From the Hours Type drop-down options, select the type of time you worked. For example, select Regular for a normal working day or Vacation for time off hours.

    Note

    To log hours against different hour types, click the Add  icon. A new Clock In/Clock Out entry space appears.

  7. Click the Save Hours button.

    Note

    To view detailed timecard information, enter comments on your timecard, or finalize your timecard, click View your full Timecard.

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature. The current day is automatically displayed.

  3. To clock in:

    1. Select the type of time you worked from the Hours Type drop-down options. For example, select Regular for a normal working day or Vacation for time off hours.

    2. Click the Clock In button.

  4. To clock out, click the Clock Out button. To view detailed timecard information, enter comments on your timecard, or finalize your timecard, click View your full Timecard.

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature.

  3. From the calendar, select the day for which you want enter hours, or from the list, locate the day for which you want to enter hours.

  4. In the Hours Worked column, enter the total number of hours you have worked for the currently selected day.

  5. To record time off hours such as holiday or vacation, select the type from the Time Off Hours drop-down options.

    Tip

    To log hours against multiple time off hours, click the Add  icon. A new time off hours time entry space appears.

  6. Click the Save Hours button.

    Tip

    To view detailed timecard information, enter comments on your timecard, or finalize your timecard, click View your full Timecard.

  1.  Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature.

  3. In the Hours Worked column, enter the total number of hours you have worked for the period.

  4. To record time off hours such as holiday or vacation, select the type from the Time Off Hours drop-down options.

    Tip

    To log hours against multiple time off hours, click the Add  icon. A new time off hours time entry space appears.

  5. Click the Save Hours button.

    Tip

    To view detailed timecard information, enter comments on your timecard, or finalize your timecard, click View your full Timecard.

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature main page.

  3. Click View All Periods. The View All Pay Periods page appears and displays a list of pay periods.

  4. To search for additional pay periods, select the period end date from the Pay Periods For drop-down options.

  5. Click on any hyperlinked pay period. The timecard for that pay period appears.

Warning

Once the timecard is finalized, only your supervisor can make updates to it.

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Access the Timecard Entry feature main page.

  3. Review your hours to ensure everything is correct.

  4. Click the Click here to finalize link. Depending upon your organization's settings, your timecard is submitted to your timecard approver or Payroll.
