Verify a Desktop ID Number
Campus Portal users need an ID Number if you want them to:
be assigned a Campus Portal role
be assigned to a user group
have access to J1 Desktop information
receive notifications
In J1 Desktop, open the Name Entity window.
From the ID # field, right-click and select Advanced Search. The Name Search window appears.
In the Name Search window, type the name you're searching for. You can type parts of names. Any names that match your search are displayed with their ID numbers.
If the person is not listed, you can create a new name entity. In the Name Entity window, enter at least the Last, First, Middle names.
Save. The system creates an ID number.
